You know when things happen in rapid succession and you are completely blown away?
Yup... happened to me.
You all know that I have been DYING with the crazy business of last week. I finally got to work out yesterday and man, not doing that for a week can really get you out of shape. So it felt wonderful on Monday to go and just bike a little. Sigh... so wonderful.
Anyway, this is all besides the point. Today I got in an accident and it was quite exciting. Fortunately I was NOT responsible. (Trust me, it makes a huge difference) My car looks okay but hers was smashed up pretty bad. Thing is this is like... oh the third time I've been in an accident within the space of about three or four weeks (Rapid Succession!). So I'm feeling pretty nervous around cars now.
Well enough about my life... Let's get into some new stuff.
I'm working on a new story and tweaking an old one, which is surprisingly difficult... I mean I have this image of how this story is supposed to go but it's just not flowing. I don't know how I want everything to work so it's still in an outline stage. Sorry guys.'
I do have a new idea though that I've run by a friend and she's helping me think of some plot ideas.
Being an almighty creator is a lot of fun :) placing characters and having them go about doing tasks, but making your world real is more difficult than I would like. I was reading a book by McCaffery the other day and she was working with planets and she incorporated things like the tilt of the axis and how it affected the seasons and climate, the age of a planet, orbit and the length of years. Did you know that a planet as a specific area that it can orbit it's star (depending on the star of course), and sustain life? I call it the green donut, the area where water is present (not frozen) and the atmosphere is stable (unlike Venus or mercury).
Anyway, I was impressed with how she considered the relationship of the planets, people, culture, governments, and intergalactic economy... crazy... and then didn't overload you with silly details. Keeping the story moving.
When I research something, I want people to feel the pain that I went through to understand how things work and I LOAD my stories with details. Which is why I usually avoid researching...
It's a bad habit I know.
Anyway food for thought. I'm afraid I can't reveal any new stories, yet. I'm still processing them. If you have any plot ideas or random tidbits don't hesitate to comment.
Comments make me feel special, which reminds me. Thanks Alex, for your comment! I feel like a partial success now!
Okay, I'm off, Enjoy life everyone!
